fuzzy monitor

Brian

The character and icons on my desktop are blurry. When editing a document
with Word, the characters are fuzzy. When I play a game though, everything
is in focus. How can I fix this?

You didn't give us much to work with: (PC model, RAM, type of video card,
operating system (Home/Pro?), Monitor model and current resolution...?

1. Create a System Restore Point to save your current settings
(Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore)
2. Gently tighten monitor cable leading to PC (don't overtighten)
3. Manually adjust your monitor's controls to see if this has any positive effects
4. Enable ClearType in Control Panel > ClearType Tuning
5. Try adjusting resolutions in Control Panel > Display
6. Install latest video driver software
7. Purchase a new monitor
