Hi there,
I recently updated my video card drivers(ATI 9600pro - 256) to the newest
version,
after rebboting the text on all windows has beome fuzzy and very blury.
The pictures and everything else is fine , Just the text in windows, web
pages, start panel,...
I have tried unistalling the new drives. (No effect)
I have also tried diffrent versions of ATI drivers.(N effect)
I have tried system restore. (No effect)
I have tried Microsoft cleartype tunning.(No effect).
I have tried adjusting the sharpness and other settings through the monitor
(NEC 2080UX+). (No effect)
I have tried adjusting the above through ATI control panel. (No effect)
I don't think this has anything to do with the hardware(ie. video cards or
monitor or...) , It is a windows problem.
Can any one help or any ideas or suggestions is more than welcome.
Thank you all

Using the LCD monitors native resolution will give you the sharpest
text. And turn on ClearType also.

The resoluition is at it's max 1600-1200 & cleartype is on too.
it has something to do with the windows XP itself.

Does the new video card driver identify your monitor properly in the
display properties? Or does it just say plug and play monitor?
If text was clear with the old drivers why not just roll back the
drivers on the card.

Hi Scott
I have tried rolling back the driver - No help.
I tried system restore - No help

The video card identifies the monitor as plug & play, but it was like that
from the first time I conected the monitir.

Your monitor is a flat panel NEC and should have some inf file that
came with it so it is identified properly by windows and your video
card. My NEC monitor looked very crappy as well if running as simple
plug and play. Hope this helps.
