Need a little help...here's the setup.

I have three computers. #1 is directly connected to the wireless router via
ethernet cable. #2 (laptop) is connnect to the router wirelessly. #3
(desktop) is connected to the router wirelessly.

I'm trying to build a home network so that I can print and share files
amonst the three cpus. When attempt to build the network #2 and #3 see
eachother and can file/print share. However, #1 (which is connected via
hardwire to the router) cannot be viewed on the network. I need some help in
trying to view it. All firewalls have been turned off.

Do all three cpu's have to be wireless in order to create a "wireless
network?" I have also tried to use the home network wizard and i get the
exact same result. One more thing...from #2 (laptop) I can ping and get a
response from #1. However, when I try to ping #2 from cpu #1, I get no
response.

Please help. Thanks.

Mike,

Your setup sounds fine. Having 2 computers connected wirelessly, and one wired,
should work OK, within limits.

What firewalls have been turned off? Some personal firewalls will continue to
cause problems, even when turned off.

There are other possibilities for your problem, too.

If no help yet, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each
computer. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions
precisely:
