Functionality Question: Can you have two views of a folder?

We're looking a building a project/knowledge management system & are
considering the options within outlook.

Ideally, I'd rather have a single calendar (or other folder) which has a
view of certain projects for me; other projects for my co-workers, and
sub-set of both for our boss.

Obviously we'll need to be *able* to see the suppressed items, but normally
wont.

While reading "Outlook 2000: In a nutshell" by Syroid & Leuf (O'Reilly), I'm
wondering if we could have a master calendar folder, and have other folders
with filters applied that show a subset of the master?

After just reviewing the options in the customize panel, I'm thinking that I
might set an offline view to accomplish it *once,* but I'd really like to
see one for me, then a sub-set for each project.

(I'm getting into the 'digital dashboard' view of things, a bit!)

Any suggestions?

Have you thought of having a public Task file that
everyone can edit and customize the views using categories
for each employee. Each user can enter their projects and
enter their name or a co-worker's name in the category
field, set start and due dates. Reminders don't work here
but each employee can view the projects they are in charge
of and the boss can view all the projects and who is
working on what.

Our office uses this to keep track of various projects for
13 employees. I would be willing to share more ideas with
you if you like.
