When is MS going to push a fix for the save picture as functionality and the
gif animation?

vicki

I doubt very much if they are going to fix it as you hope. It was done because of security issues.

The issue has been fixed. That functionality has been permanently disabled.

You want a security issue, then request that it be re-enabled.

No, it hasn't been fixed. The fix would be to enable it. How is that gifs are
only a security issue with MS? Mac users, openoffice, etc. don't have
security issues. I've had my email account since the 90s and have never
received a virus from a gif. I've had one virus and I got that through IE.
Every week MS is pushing out security patches. What's next, disable
everything? Why not add a respond function to the browser and we can have
our mail download there so we can view it and respond on the same screen and
then they can disable outlook. Better yet, maybe they'll move forward with a
reinvented version of OS/2.

Surely you aren't saying that "save picture as" is a security issue?

Then perhaps you would prefer to move to a Mac or Open Office, or even etc.?

Was Mr. Gates standing behind you with a gun at the local software retailer?

| Okay, never mind what the users want. We only have to pay for it.
