Full System Scan - or not???

When carrying out a full system scan, with all options
checked, MS AntiSpyware completes the scan in around 8
minutes, reporting that approx 20,000 files have been
scanned.

However, the same scan with CounterSpy takes around 45
minutes, reporting approx 200,000 files scanned.

Is the MS version really doing a full, deep scan???

I can't speak to this comparison--I've never run Counterspy.

The difference that I've noted between the Intelligent Quickscan and the
full, deep scan with Microsoft Antispyware is in the number of memory
processes scanned. Looking at my system, the difference between these
appears to be on the order of 50 for a quickscan versus 1500 for a full deep
scan.
