I need to backup my whole computer on a disk and then
clear my computer. Can anyone help me?

Windows XP makes it even easier to backup your data onto CD-R. Just insert a
blank CD-R disc (or CD-RW) into your CD writer and double click 'Open
writable CD folder' when the box pops up (otherwise you can just goto your
CD drive through My Computer). Drag the files you want to backup into this
area and click 'Write these files to CD' when done. Follow the wizard
instructions to burn.

To make a FULL system backup, you will need other software. PowerQuest
DriveImage can easily do this. Visit the web site for more details:

If your computer came with a recovery disc, you only need to backup files
that you have saved or downloaded. Windows XP and any other accompanying
software from your computer manufacturer will be restored through the
recovery process. Common places to look for files to backup are in My
Documents, Favorites and your Windows Address Book (File>Export>Address
Book).
