Is possible to retrieve the full remote web address of a download managed by
Windows XP? I mean, when you download from a website and the only visible
address is the domain wich hosts the file?

Thanks.

You'd have to give me an example.

I have DL'd thousands of things and I have always been able to
"uncover" the exact direct link - which I often paste into
FileHound (my DL manager) since it's faster and more dependable.
Usually all you have to do is point the arrow at the DL link and
you will see the link in the status bar or sometimes in a pop-
up, or right click on it and under properties you can "copy link
address" and paste it into the URL window or your DL manager.

I would suggest dumping IE/OE and getting some real
browser/email/newsgroups apps, BTW. For all I know IE does NOT
do what I described - last time I used it was in the 90's. Also,
those 2 "programs" are the principal entry points for malware.
