FTP PROBLEMS.... PLEASE HELP!!

I am unable to download anything from an, ftp site. When
I try to download, I get a "Page Cannot Be Displayed"
error. I downloaded netscape and tried to download files
from the same ftp sites, and had no problems with
netscape. So, for what ever reason Internet Explorer is
not letting me download files from ftp sites.

Please Help.....this problem is really starting to
frustrate me

-XP prof.(system has all avaliable windows updates)
-Internet Explorer 6 with SP1, Q837009, Q832894, and
Q831167 udpates

Try this. Launch IE and go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced tab |
Scroll down a little until you see a check box with: "Use Passive FTP"
Check off that option.
