You clicked START|RUN and typed "ftp" (no quotes) <enter> ?

Many FTP clients are available on the Net. Do a search http://google.com

Of course. I also looked for it in C:\Windows\System32 where it is on all of my other XP Pro systems

I want the Microsoft client that should have been installed with the OS

Perhaps the OEM did not install it.
If you have the install CD, perhaps you can install it yourself.
(You should just need to copy ftp.exe from somewhere - it may be inside a CAB
file on the install CD).

Check with the vendor from whom you licensed this copy. As I understand
it, they are allowed by their license with Microsoft, to make
modifications to the "load". Maybe they just didn't include it for some
reason.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
