Hi there, sometimes I cannot eliminate some components, for example, I only
need FTP service in my image, but WWW and index service also are added in.
Moreover, I remove WWW and index in the .slx, after "check dependency" they
are add again. Is it possible to remove them in TD instead of manually?
Thanks.

Ray

Ray,

Turn off "auto-resolve dependencies" option in TD (Tools-->Options...-->Dependency Check page).

Thanks again, KM. However, that means I need to build image with error
messages, I mean, some tasks are still listed in task bar after "check
dependency", ignore them and build image. I just feel uncomfortable.

Anyway, thanks, your answer is really helpful.

Hi Ray,

Yes it can be little annoying but supposedly that feature is for your own
good. You can make an ugly workaround, but...

One way would be to create your component as a replacement for ms components
but without unnecessary (for your case) dependencies.

Second way would be to do auto resolve, and then to open each component in
center panel and to disable files and registry entries you think that you
don't need.
That way you will have many components in TD but your image will be small.

Slobodan

Ray,

Unfortunately, this is currently the way how XPe Tools work. We all do not like the lack of more control of dependency tree in
Configuration.

You can disable files in some component's resources - Files sections- and it will not bring the files in to your image. The same for
resource registry entries.
