I transfer my FSMO roles to my server named member-2 from
server-2k. Now I want to undo the changes.

Then you transfer the FSMO roles back to the other way, same way as you
moved it to the current one.

Just remember to run dsa.msc from the machine that you *want* to transfer
the roles back to.

That is, you move them back by performing the operation on server-2k.

When I tranfer FSMO roles back from member-2 to server-2k,
I received error following message
The tranfer of the operations master role cannot be
performed because
The requested FSMO operation failed. The crrent
FSMO holder could not be contacted.

My member-2 server is online & I can connect via My
Network Places.

Sounds like you may have a DNS misconfiguration on the domain controllers.

Usually such problems (Finding DCs, including Replication and
and Authentication) are related to DNS.

DNS
1) Dynamic for the zone supporting AD
2) All internal DNS client NIC\IP properties must specify SOLELY
that internal, dynamic DNS server (set.)
3) DCs and even DNS servers are DNS clients too -- see #2

Restart NetLogon on any DC if you change any of the above that
affects a DC.

It is no problem to re-transfer the roles if the DNS is setup correctly
and if you truly TRANSFERED them the first time -- if you SEIZED
them previously you must destroy the DC that use to hold them (you
can leave the OS installed but must "cycle DCPromo" to remove
and (optionally) re-add the DC there.
