I work on my XP Proffessional box under User privilege. (for security reason) But I have a little problem. I have installed MS sharing service so my disks are accessible for other people from our LAN. But when I want to know who is conneted on my sharing device and what exactly doing I have a problem with permission becouse "fsmgmt.msc" works correctly only for Admin and Power User account. But i need to work in my account with user permission too. Is it possible to change something (maybe in registry) to work "fsmgmt" for my account?
Thanks

Right shift, right click on your app/tool of choice,
like fsmgmt.msc, and select to use runas to launch
the app in a different (admin) account.
Alternatively, open a cmd window this way, and then
when needed enter fsmgmt.msc, and then the next, etc.
in this cmd window.

But unfortunetaly I can't use "runas" becouse I need some integrated application to work. In fact I'm talking about WUMF plugin for Miranda which show who use remote files. So this is the reason why I can't use runas.

I guess I do not see the problem.
Use runas to launch the process sequence within which
you will be using this software that you mention.

You are surely right on that.

As far as what you stated in the opening post, the
solution is to just runas the share mgmt mmc.
In order to have this within the plugin with the
app environment you named you will likely need
to investigate with the providers of that app.

I think that isn't very good idea to run Instant Messenger with Admin
permission.
