Hey all...

I'm new to the forum and just had a quick question for any of you wh
could help me out....I'd REALLY appreciate this.

Why do I get the following message when trying to download a .wmv fil
from the Internet? The message is "Cannot find C:\Documents an
Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files".

What can I do to fix it? It's REALLY starting to tick me off and
haven't ever had a problem with this until about 2 months ago. I'v
tried running a virus scan, no problems there. What gives?

Thanks in advance!!! :

Hi Chauncey,
These thing ca nget you right down, me tto. but then I fight back.

If you are using win 98 or xp. open windows explorer. NOT MY COMPUTER please.

(hold down the windiows key and 'E' at the same time). More free advice!

then click my computer (or double click0 so it opens), then 'c drive' then
'documents ans settings' then owner, then local settings. You may be with
what I am doing.

If ther is not any of thes direcetories, including the one for Temp'
internet files. Then make one by highlighting the last direstory you could
find (making it the selected choice in blue), then clicke file (menu) and
then new folder. and make the next directory down the tree. Do this until you
have the whole roust detailed in the error.

I don't know where yours has gone but uit seems it has. so put it back.

bye the way if you want to find your downloaded file "you know where it will
be" don't you.

I think this might work for you

Good Luck.
