FRS - replication question/error

Bob Z.

I've inherited a W2K AD machine that no longer has a
replication partner. It did at one point, long ago.

So, my question is this: How can I stop NtFrs errors from
popping up on my AD server? My SERVER01, keeps saying it
failed to connect to SERVER02.

SERVER02 was removed from the network many months ago. It
won't be back!

Can I (or, How can I) gracefully stop NtFRS or remove
any/all references to the non-existant SERVER02? I want
SERVER01 to know its the only AD server on the domain.

-thanks,
Bob

Hello Bob,

When you remove domain controllers, run DCPROMO on the particular server you
want to remove to complete and successfully remove it from Active Directory.
It seems like you don't have this option longer, see the article below to
remove the old server successfully from AD manually.
