Need to replicate to 30 machines from a server with 65
machines on the domain. Need to copy a directory from the
server to a workstation. Only needs to replicate when a
file is updated or added. This is done easily with NT use
directory replicator but 2000 has done away with DRS. It
looks like the second hand software will do it but would
rather have it done by windows.

Sounds like you might want to check out FRS (File Replication Service),
depending on the size of the data, number of files/directories, and expected
amount of data churn. This will require setting up DFS (Distributed File
System). Check out the following sites:

Official Microsoft/FRS site:

Ultrasound site (FRS management tool and troubleshooting document):

If you have further questions, please post them.
