Hi

I have recently set up an account with a host that
provides frontpage extensions. I should be able to upload
files from frontpage through my broadband ISP by entering
the URL of my site. I am, however unable to do this
although I can access the server via ftp.

When I tried the same thing using an alternative dial-up
ISP everythin seems to work OK. It seems therefore that my
ISP is blocking access to the server from frontpage.

Is there any reason why it should do this? Has anyone else
had a similar problem. I have tried contacting my ISP and
they have been unhelpful.

It's hard to tell from your description exactly what the problem is. Can you
describe the steps you took in sequence, and what output you saw as a
result?

Big things are made up
of lots of little things.

The steps I have been taking are:

-select the 'Open Web' dialogue
-type in the url of my site (http://www... etc)
-This causes a dialogue to appear asking for user name and
password
-I enter the information and click OK

The same dialogue box re-appears with the password
missing, suggesting that the password has not been
recognised. However, if I use the same routine via an
alternative ISP, all is well.

Any ideas?
