Linda

Hi,

Thanks for the information. But let me be more specific to
my initial question (I'm still a newbie and not sure what
information you need to answer my questions-I try to keep
it short, but I guess it was too short)

Okay, right now I have my 2 copies of the database which
is split, one is under a Backup Title folder (has 2
subfolders with data and dev) and the other is Development
Folder has 2 subfolders with data and dev. Now the copy
that is on the server is also split as Data Folder
(forbidden) and Enter Files Here. So what I seem to
understand is that each coworker should have their "own"
copy that would be split on the server. This makes me
question how are we suppose to see all the files that all
the lawyers have and be able to query each lawyer's file
and then a full alphabetical file?? Confused here (!)

Hoping I haven't confused you too...

Thanks in advance for all
Linda

Wow this is a little more challenging than I thought, but
I think I understand it.

1- Your use of the word "Tables" is what I call "Data",
which is the BEnd right?

2-Each coworker gets a original copy - and not a shortcut
from the server - of the one that has Forms, Reports,
Queries and so on, which is the FEnd?

3-Is it only 1 BEnd for 2 original copies of FEnd?

4-My own split copy of the FEnd already has its form,
report and query for my needs. When I copy it though the
other girls don't get a blank when they click on form,
report and query....do I have to delete what is on their
copy and let them set up their own f's, r's and q's?

Am I getting this right (?), maybe you could kind of
bullet form the steps for me. Really sorry, but this is
the only way that I will understand it.

Again, thanks a mil for all your assistance!!!
Linda

Yes: you are on track.

1. The tables are the data.

2. Yes. One back end on server.
Each workstation has its own local copy of the front end.

3. Yes

4. If the data is not showing in the other workstations, try relinking:
