I have upgraded from Windows 98 to Windows XP and Office 2002. I also
have a new hard drive. How do I find my old Outlook address book and
messages and can I import them into Outlook 2002. I have my old C
drive plugged in at the moment.

Do a search for *.pst on the old computer - all your mail, calendar, tasks,
contacts, etc are in a PST file (you'll probably know it by the size &
date).

Thanks for such a prompt reply. It worked well and all my messages
appeared. However, I don't seem to have an address book at all let
alone any addresses! When I click on the address book, I get a
message which reads: "The address list could not be displayed. The
contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened
etc..... Can I get it back?
