Frequent crashing

I've been having problems with Windows Movie Maker
crashing a lot. I have been using it for a month or so,
and am just now having problems. When playing files, they
are very choppy. Also, the program just crashes every
once in awhile. Ive tried rebooting and everything.

Is there anything I can do to reinstall the
program/repair it? I havent changed any settings on the
program, it just stopped working.
 
Sorry, does that mean you haven't defragged the hdd? Does it mean you
haven't added any codec packs? Does it mean you haven't added any other
video type apps?
It is easier for us to help if you can answer the questions asked :)

I am having the same problem and it's driving me mad. every time I begin editing a project the computer crashes. I have recently defrgmented but it has made no difference, any other suggestions please??
