I find that frames I'd left frozen (with Windows/ Freeze Frame) are no
longer "frozen" when I reopen them.

How can I get them to stay from unFreezing?

Hi Alexander

Did you save the file after applying Freeze Panes?
If not, then it won't be frozen on re-opening.

Hi Alexander

Are there any macros that run on opening the file, that could be
switching freeze frames off?
Other than that, I cannot think of any reason why this would be
happening.
Maybe someone else will have some ideas.

No macros, but thanks; 'twas a good idea.

Next time you save the workbook, do:
file|saveAs
and make sure you chose "microsoft office excel workbook (*.xls)"

Then close and reopen it to test.

I am finding I can't even freeze frames in a new worksheet (the option is
grayed out after I select the row below the cells I want to freeze as per Ms
Help). Anyone notice if this is since the last auto-upgrade from MS?
