Freewsre utility for disk maintenance during night time?

Hello,

Does anyone know of a freeware or inexpensive utility for disk
maintenence I.E. Defrag and Detecting & Repairing Disk Errors? It would
need to be able to run unsupervised, at night when the charities
computer is not being used.

The built in DEFRAG and CHKDSK utilities?

Although - to be honest - you should have to do either of those *very
seldom*. Defragmenting more often than checking for errors, albeit still
few and far between - unless you create MANY files and delete MANY files
every day...
