Freeware to check for bootable hard disk

Is there an App. which will check/analyze if a second hard disk is bootable?

I have a second hard disk which duplicates C:, which reads/writes fine and
I believe has all the required boot files, but I'd like to software check
it's bootability before opening the box , switching cable, jumpers etc.

Win98SE box.

i would try some boot manager from ubcd....
be warned, some computer only load ubcd32 because they dropped some CD
ROM drivers, so if you have an old laptop, and the latest version
(ubcd33) doesn't work, the previous one will.

Try XOSL...has the ability to set a secondary hard drive as bootable.
It'll install onto the primary W98 partition, and uninstalls with no
problems.
