Hello,

I in search for software/freeware that can do the following:
P.S for windows

1. I have my taskbar placed vertiaclly on the rigth of my screen. The
windows are added on after another starting from the top. It would be
great if there was an application that permitted to create "Window tab
groups" on my task bar. Ususally half of my windows are relating to one
goal and the other half are relating towars another goal. If there can
be 2 or 3 groups on the taskbar in which the user decides where the
window tab will be placed, it would be great. It would be very handy
for research. (I usually end up with about 20-30 windows at the end of
week, and I can not remember for what purposes they openned up in the
first place)

2. An application that adds a second taskbar to the desktop. For the
reasons given in 1.

3. An application that opens up a "portable ruler". Basically it would
like a mouse-pointer with a ruler tail that gets prolongued as the
mouse button is held. Usefull when you are in a software that has a
plot or graph but no zoom tool. You can use this "ruler" to obtain
relative distances or measurements. Also usefull in situations were you
download a graph as a *.jpg and you need (x,y) coordinates .

Do tools like that exist?

You can Rt\click on the toolbar and add new bars, but I`m afraid
I don`t know of a tabbed Toolbar.

Some measurement tools (rulers, protractors etc.) that have been
mentioned in ACF:

RT\click on the toolbar, a menu drops, go up to toolbars, at the
bottom, click on new toolbars.
Mind you that`s in WinXP, and you didn`t say.
And my toolbar is at the bottom, don`t know if that would
make any difference.
