If you load a commercial audio CD in your computer's CD drive, many CD
player or CD ripper programs can look up the song names for it on
public "CDDB" servers on the internet. They do this by using the
code number of the CD itself. There's a list of such programs at http://www.freedb.org/freedb_aware_apps.php
I don't know of any program that can do CDDB searches without the CD.
