I am search for pgp Vers.8.0 in German languages,- ( or ist it Vers. 8.01?)
Google shows various URL`s, but not the right URL.

Is there anybody who know an download-URL?

Have you considered GnuPG, the complete and free replacement for PGP? I
believe German is one of the many supported languages.

Empfehlen kann ich Dir eigentlich nur die letzte
vollständige Freewareversion (mit PGP-Disk!)
Version 6.02i (läuft unter allen Windows-Systemen)
bekommst Du hier: http://www.pgpi.org/products/pgpdisk/

Deine angegebenen beiden Link`s kenne ich durch
Google-Suche;- leider verweisen diese nicht auf
die 8-ter Version, sondern auf Version 9.0 und nur
für Win-XP zu verwenden, nicht für WIN98.

Mittlerweile habe ich eine URL erhalten zu der von
mir gesuchten Version;- falls jemand nach dieser
Version sucht, hier der Link:

Ja, die 8.01 kannte ich gar nicht.
Und für mich ist auch wichtig, dass eine Version auf
möglichst viele Platformen übertragbar ist (wg. unserem
Netwerk).

Hi Ulli (sorry für die "Ute", aber ich kenne zwei Ute Schmidt
und eine Ute Schmid .. da lag die Verwechslung nahe

Ich habe vorläufig die 8.01 auch nur heruntergeladen, meiner
Erfahrung nach versuchen die neueren Versionen immer die
alten zu deinstallieren und das will ich nicht riskieren, ... ich
versuche das demnächst auf einer anderen Installation.

Die 6.02i (i steht für "international", das entstand in jener
Zeit, als die USA im Export von PGP noch nationalen Geheim-
nisverrat sahen und Leute mit hohen Gefängnisbestrafen be-
drohte) ist "leider" in "englischer Sprache" ... andererseits
sind es ja nur wenige Einstellungen, die Du auch nur einmal
vornehmen mußt ... und da es sich eh um PGP-spezifische
Begriffe handelt, lernt man die aus meiner Sicht ohnehin am
besten nur einmal und im Original.
Es gibt aber eine hervorragende Deutsch Beschreibung dafür
mit allen Angaben und Übersetzungen ... falls Du sie nicht
selbst findest, suche ich gerne mal gelegentlich für Dich danach.
