FREEING MEMORY

HI GUYS JUST WONDERED IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME. mY COMPUTER IS RUNNING SLOWLY
AND SOMEONE ADVISED ME THAT IT MAYBE BECAUSE I DONT HAVE ENOUGH MEMORY ON MY
COMPUTER. THEY SAID THAT I HAVE TO GO INTO RAM AND DELETE OLD FILES. COULD
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP OR ADVISE ME OF WHAT TO DO AS MY COMPUTER IS ONLY 2 YEARS
OLD BUT RUNS SO SLOWLY THANK X

First, unlock your caps-lock key. You're shouting at us and we don't
particularly like it.

Second, adding RAM may very well help your machine run faster, but
that depends on many things. This has nothing to do with deleting
files (which could free up space on your disk drive, which is not
RAM). Adding RAM involves spending a few bucks to buy some hardware,
then installing it in your machine. Based on your knowledge of
computers, as implied by your question, you might want to let the
computer shop install it.
 
What you may try a few things to clean your computer.

1st go to control panel remove the programs you no longer use.
they have a date last used on them. uninstall.
Do not uninstall anything that helps the system run. Remove ONLY PROGRAMS
you ARE familiure with.

clean disk- go to start/programs/accessories/system tools clean disk.
Then do a defrag it is in the same place sys,tools.
Then go to your internet browser click on tools internet options and delete
cookies and delete files delete history all uinder the same tab.

After this run all your updates for your drivers which are located in the
device manager.
Also updat all software
Windows updates and officetoo. Microsoft home page will help you do that.
click on express install.

good luck Im sure you will notice a huge diffrece.

mixed case.

That could be. How much RAM do you have?

No, you're confused here. You can't delete old files from RAM, but you can
delete them from your hard drive. However that has nothing to do with why
your computer is running slowly.

Has it always run slowly, or is this a recent phenomenon? If the latter, the
problem is not the amount of RAM.
