freehand drawing tool sometimes changes to scribble pen???

While I'm in the middle for drawing with the freehand tool, sometimes it
suddently switches to the scribble pen....very aggravating! Any suggestions
anyone?

That's how its designed.

Click "corners" for straight lines - hold down mouse button for "scribble"

Not sure what you mean by clicking "corners"? Thanks

If you are using freeform, it changes to scribble when you hold down the left
click for awhile. And to resolve it, simply click and release without holding
down onto the left click.
