I am loading on my new computer the 3Com "Office
Connect" ISDN LAN Modem Companion Programs.
When the program begans to load, the following message
comes up.

"Director Player 6.0"
" This program requires at least 3MD of free virtual
memory to run"
"OK"

What do I do so I can load the program?

Carl,
Macromedia's Director Player 6.0 seems to have an issue regarding the
total memory (that is, the physical RAM + the virutal memory setting)
of the machine. I don't know the details, but if the machine has a
*total* memory of more than 1-2 GB (?), the Director Player doesn't
understand the amount of total memory the operating system says the
machine has. To work around the problem, you can change your virtual
memory setting so that the system's *total memory* is below that 1-2
GB range. That'll fix the problem and shouldn't cause any future
trouble unless you regularly use big applications that demand a lot of
total memory.

Sincerely,
Joe
