I was sent to a page named
http://my.opera.com/community/party/[email protected]
because I used a mailinator address. They are obviously generating web
pages
based on the mail address you give. And that is the only reason they
ask for a mail address. Still no mail in that mailbox.
Speaking of mail, Opera works fine for mail, newsgroups, chat,
notebook, browser, ftp, and I use it as a flash player and XML-viewer.
The best Opera skin is the Office-2003 inspired skin.
It takes least screen space and is easy to understand.
Remove all toolbars you don't need, add buttons as you like
to the toolbars you keep. You can make Opera look exactly
as you want it.
Ask questions about Opera in the newsgroup opera.general
Or search that newsgroup for replies, your question has
probably been asked and replied to already.
Lately I asked for a bookmarklet or script to tell me the
lastmodified date on web pages, and got both immediately.
I had a filter in Prox that did this earlier.
I don't need to use Proxomitron now because Opera has good
javascript filtering built in, plus the new feature, user
javascript, which can be used like filters in proxomitron.
Three programs that are always open in my computer,
Opera browser, Total Commander file manager, Winamp
music player.
With a gmail account and Opera you get access to mail
and newsgroups, both via web, newsclient or via mail.
If you like you can access newsgroups via
POP3 and SMTP server, and treat newsgroups as mailing
lists.
