free audio recorder software

I am looking for free audio recorder software that can capture the audio
through sound card to audio file (e.g. MP3, WAV, etc...)? I found some, but
most of them only record limited length.

Not free but darn near Total Recorder is only $12 US
http://www.highcriteria.com/ I've used it for a couple of years and like it
very much.

I use CDex. Go to http://cdexos.sourceforge.net for a free
download. It works good. You record in WAV format and then
convert it to MP3 or whatever you want. --Jerry

Are you running Creative software? If so, you should have Creative Recorder
installed there somewhere.

Also, Microsoft Plus Digital Media Edition is a fairly inexpensive package
containing an audio recorder based on CoolEdit. I got a copy for US$8.00
from OfficeMax.
