My website is using frames, therefore, the left menus (links) don't change.
When I browse to another page, then go back to the home page... the web
displays the frame split twice. Its like a web page cascaded within a web
page. I have my links on the left, then another set of links (identical).

How are you suppose to get back to the home page when using split frames?

A Frameset is an HTML document that specifies the layout and display of
other HTML documents. If your home page is the frameset itself, it loads the
frameset into the frame you specify. You have 2 options regarding changing
the "Home" link:

1. Link to the default page for the frame in the frameset into which you
want to load the "Home" page.
2. Specify "_top" as the "target frame" property for the link. This loads
the entire frameset into the topmost instance of your browser, thus putting
it back to its' initial state, including all frames.

Never mind. I resolved my own problem. It appears, when using Frames, that
the site creates a separate "homePage" in addition to the Index page. I
simply changed the hyperlink to point to the homepage.
Thanks anyway..... I'm learning.

Thanks Kevin.
I responded to my question before reading your input.
You are correct... I discovered that. Thanks again.

Also (not related)...
It appears that when you are using Frames, that you are very limited.
I can no longer view my files the normal way. I have to create folders in
my website using explorer. Lots of buttons are greyed out. Is this a
common experience when using Frames.
Just curious!

Set the default target of the menu page to the frame you want the pages to show up in. Do this in page properties. Right click on the page within the frame, choose page properties->target frame, and the target frame dialog will show the available frames, just click on the right one

Any links on pages within the frame that you want to load in the same frame need to be set to '_self'

Sorry, you lost me there. I have no idea what you're describing. However, I
can tell you that using Frames should not interfere in any way with the
operation of FrontPage.

Well, if you can describe your problem better, I may be able to help. I hate
to leave you with issues you haven't resolved.

Okay! Under the View menu... almost everything is greyed out. Can't go to
Navigation view can't see any reports, can't look at any Hyperlinks. This
was not the case when I look at other web sites. I have no other ideas as
to what would cause it. That is the bulk of the problems. I don't have
access to my views therefore, I can't go to folder views (to add folders and
organize).

What else could cause this?
Thanks

That only happens in FP when you Open a Page, Not a Web
Start w/ File Open Web (not page)

Okay, that makes sense. Should I publish this to another area on my
harddrive to make that available?

You still must always have a web open, File Menu | Open Web/Site before
working on any content within a web.
