fragmented bkf file

After a defrag, I did a backup on to external drive, when i go to that drive
and the bkf file is solid red. (fragmented) and cannot be defraged????? hmmmm

Maybe I don't understand contiguous free space, the bkf file is 32 gigs, and
the external drive is 76 gigs, and even with the other files on the external
i still have 36 gigs of free space?????????

contiguous = UNfragmented

If there are little files dropped here and there in the free space, a
file as large as 32 gig has to write around them. Fragments the file.
Don't worry about it. Not worth bothering about.
