Hi,

I have Frontpage 2002 on XP Home. All of a sudden it
stopped working on one of the several www sites that I
maintain. When accessing this one www site after
entering the userid/password, it starts grinding on the
hard drive until I run out of virtual memory.

I have another Frontpage 2002 installation on XP Home.
All of a sudden that has stopped working. In this case
everything is fine until I try to write a file. Then it
goes into an infinite loop and I have to kill it.

Any ideas?

Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried the usual repairs
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
3) In Windows Explorer Find and delete the file CMDUI.PRF
4) Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins
5) Run a Repair / Reinstall on FP & IE
6) Install all Service Packs for your OS, IE, and MS Office

Hi,

1: How do you indentify FP Temp Files?
2: I'll look for *.web files, didn't know they were there.
3: Will delete CMDUI.PRF
4: I don't have any addins. Just a basic installation.
5. Did a repair first. Didn't help.
Did an uninstall on FP and a reinstall. No better.
6. All service packs in.

Thanks, gives me something to try.

Cheers,

.

FP Temp files are in you default windows TEMP folder
Say in:
C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Local Settings\Temp
The web cache files (*.web) are hidden known system files
Usually in
"C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache"
