This problem has been occurring lately in FP2002.
Most of my sites retain the username & password when I go to publish with no
problem, but I have a few where the u-name/p-word are not retained.
This happened when I first published these particular sites and initially
got the username or password wrong and had to "fix" it.
There is now no "checkbox" to check & save them for the next time as before.
I've checked the documentation & help to no avail.
Any thoughts on how to fix this?
Running XP SP2 v 2162 (problem was ocurring before I began beta-testing XP
SP2)

Passwords used by FP are "stored" using IE
In IE use Tools > Internet Options > Security
Click on 'Trusted' and on 'Custom Level'
Make sure the selection at the bottom is set to:
'Automatic logon with current username and password' and click OK
Click on 'Sites' and add your site URL in the 'Add this Web Site to the Zone', and OK, OK
- note: you may have to unselect the option: Require server verification (https)... to add your site

Thanks Stefan but this option was already done for all my websites. I just
re-checked the settings & they're all still there.
Any other thoughts would be very welcome.

Turn it off, delete and network places that have been created for those sites, and try to open the online site by typing the URL (to
get a new log in dialog)
