I down loaded Foxit PDF reader and can't make it work. When I try to open
a PDF document I get message can't find Foxit. Web site doesn't say much
to me. I tried to download Adobe reader for 2 days and get a message the
file is corrupted, can't complete download.

I need a reader, any recommendations?

Odd; Foxit worked fine for me.

Have you made sure you've ticked to make it the default? (That's
under the "Help" menu when you open Foxit directly.)

L.D. presented the following explanation :
I down loaded Foxit PDF reader and can't make it work. When I try to open a
PDF document I get message can't find Foxit.

In my experience, the first time I ran Foxit Reader it took control of
the PDF file type---which is exactly what I wanted. All I had to do was
activate the program one time and all PDF files open in Foxit Reader.

Try going to your Control Panel > Folder Options > File Types tab and
checking the file association for PDF. Change it to Foxit if you have
to---although I've never heard of anyone else having to do it that way.

try this.
start foxit reader
click file then open
browse to the file and open it that way
hope that helps

I tried that, no luck. Kept on getting message couldn't find Foxit. I
went to find and found the application in a "temp" folder that had been
made in installation. I moved it to the Program folder and it works now.

remove the pdf association in file types (by deleting the file type)
and then let foxit re-associate itself.
