I have been linking some formulas to anther workbook. If
I type = and then click on the relevant cell in the other
work book all is OK as in the top two examples below.
However if I edit the formula it is display as in the
third example.

Surname, First Name (is the result of =[MasterRoster.xls]
DataSheet!$G$9)

Cadman, Paul (is the result of =[MasterRoster.xls]
DataSheet!$G$10)

=[MasterRoster.xls]DataSheet!$G$11 (Does not display the
result)

Hi

Just a name as in the top two examples.
-----Original Message-----
What kind of data is held in $G$11?

Sounds weird

Try deleting the row and reinstating it?

I know it sounds daft, but are you sure your formula is correct?
