formulas calculating on opening document

From an external application I generate csv-files with formulas in it.
In combinatie with the R1C1 reference type these formulas are
calculated at opening of the document.

However, this does not work on every computer. I tried with several
versions of Excel, but that makes no difference. I think it's related
to some setting, but so far I didn't find it. The csv looks like this:

Arbeid ;; 0.00 ;; 0.00 ;; 0.00 ;; 0.00
;;=RK[-7]-RK[-5];;=RK[-6]-RK[-4]

Machines ;; 0.00 ;; 0.00 ;; 0.00 ;; 0.00
;;=RK[-7]-RK[-5];;=RK[-6]-RK[-4]

Materiaal+Uitb. ;;;;;; 0.00 ;; 0.00
;;;;=RK[-6]-RK[-4]

I think that there are a few things you have to worry about.

#1. Is excel in the R1C1 reference style?
tools|options|general tab|check R1C1 reference style
(Not sure what it would be for you R1K1???)

#2. Make sure that the windows list delimiter is set to semicolon (;)
In win98, I'd do:
Windows start button|settings|control panel|regional settings applet
Number Tab|List separator (near the bottom).

If these didn't help, you may want to be more specific about what goes wrong.

#1 R1C1 is the current reference style (R1K1 is the dutch version,
column in dutch says kolom)

#2 I wil try, I'm not near a computer with the problem

I can't be much more specific about the problem. It's just tat the
same file opened on one computer shows values, the other formulas.

Excel is set to calculate automaticly, not manual, but calculate now
gives no result either

I tried the ndilimiter setting, but it didn't help

any other suggestions?

There's a setting that says to show formulas. Maybe that got toggled on by
mistake.

Tools|options|view tab|Uncheck formulas (if it's checked).

(That's a wild shot, though.)

What happens when you select one of those cells with the formula, hit F2, then
enter.

Excel should try to reevaluate it. If you get an error, maybe that error will
give you a hint on the real problem.

I'm not sure why they're not importing as formulas, but maybe you could just do
an:

Edit|replace
what: = (equal sign)
with: = (equal sign)
replace all
so that excel will reevaluate them as formulas.
