Hello all,

I'm trying to write a formula that will show the remaining days hours and
minutes from now to a specified date in the future. Can excel do this? A
small complication is the specified date in the future is usually in
different time zones. All the dates are within the same calendar year.

The format I'm using for the future date is dddd mmmm dd, yyyy h:mm:ss
AM/PM.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Art.

Hi Art,
Forget it, you are attempting to convert your Excel application into a
dedicated clock and won't be able to use Excel properly, and it will
most likely impair overall performance on your machine.

You would be better off looking for a countdown timer application or
an HTML countown timer. I don't know if the links are still good, see
http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/ie/javaclock.htm

or a dedicated application: Timer Wizard v1.05
Timer Wizard - freeware alarm eggtimer software for windows
