I am not a regular user of excel or familiar with the formulas, but I
think I am trying to do something fairly simple- with no success. I
have a row that specifies the square footage of our rooms within our
building. These rooms are broken down into "groups". I used the SUM
formula to find out the square footage of the rooms within a particular
GROUP and now want to list the square footage of the entire facility by
using SUM or SUBTOTAL, by adding the subtotals I have for the groups.
However when I do I get an error. I have 36 GROUP'S that I am trying to
add together and the total number of lines to that point is 928. Do I
have too many GROUP'S or is the ROW too large to be able to use these
commands? It looks like it works correctly through the first 32 GROUP'S
or up to line 762. Anything after this line it stop adding and then
when I try to exit the formula, I am told there is a problem with my
function. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
