Hi All,

Is there any way (I hope so) to set the maximal size of the formula bar? I
have large formulas and the expanding formula bar is simply hiding half of
my sheet and a lot of cells I need to see.

Please advise (no, writing smaller formulas is not an option :)

Thanks
Marton

No, it is no adjustable AFAIK. Why is not writing smaller formulae an
option, you can put intermediary steps in hidden columns, it also makes
debugging easier.

Hi Marton

Try dragging row 1 to make it higher.

How about lowering the font size (and using a compact font) in the formula
bar <g> ?
Eg: Tools > Options > General > MS Serif, Size: 6 > OK
(Reset it to "normal" for new books)

Phillips,

It was not me, who created the document, and to separete data to other
columns would also require to see the whole sheet :)
Thanks,
Regards,
Marton

Hello,

Not bad as a workaround, but I do not want to change the layout of the
sheet.
Anyway, the formula is much higher than a few lines, so it would not solve
the issue.

Thanks,
Marton

1. Resize the worksheet window.

OR

2. Window>New Window. Window>Arrange>Horizontal.

Work in the lower window and let the formula hide the upper window.
