How do I replace the function button "fx" with the equal
sign "=" on my formula bar?

Please help!

The closest you can get is to go to Tools>Customize>Commands>Insert and drag
the "=" sign to your Toolbar.

Note: it does not function as it did prior to Excel 2002 and 2003.
