OK, the keyword was ANOTHER user. I said I used the same
data format that a successful user had at the site where
the user is having problems and had no success.

You said to find out exactly what the user was entering
into the fields. What I thought I would do is find a
user that successfully submitted data, go to the user who
is having problems, enter the data on her computer, and
see if it came through, and it did NOT.

Does that make sense?

I went to the users site and entered data EXACTLY in the
same format as another user that had success. I
personally entered the data as I did when I tested the
form 100 or so times and it STILL did not come through.

I'm confused. First you said that you entered the data
exactly as the user
did and had success. Then you said that you entered the
data and it failed.
I don't understand the difference between what you did
that was successful
and what was not.

Below are the questions we've gone back and forth on.

Here is where I'm at today.

I went to the users site and entered data EXACTLY in the
same format as another user that had success. I
personally entered the data as I did when I tested the
form 100 or so times and it STILL did not come through.

The ONLY validation left on the form is that five of the
various fields are required. There are no constraints on
any of the fields and most of the fields are either text
fields, boolean check box fields, or pull down menus.

Again, I am willing to give a URL if I can get a phone
number to contact you. Maybe there is an issue in the
html or java script that Front Page 2002 is writing.

Please let me know. I'd hate to think there are
intermittent problems out there.

Sincerely,

Tom Robb

the same type of data" is not "exactly what this user is
putting into the
form." That is what I suggest you find out.

She is entering the same type of data the other 75-100
users are entering but the data is not coming through.

This particular user has sent me copies of the
confirmation page and it does not appear that it is any
different from any others.

Please give me some direction as to why this may be
happening. Have I found a bug?

Thanks,
Tom

PS Again, I can give you the URL if need be, so if I can
obtain a phone number or you can e-mail me, that would be
wonderful, but just let me know.

Not really, since that isn't what I asked you to do. If I am to help you, I
need information, just like a Doctor. If your Doctor asked you to cough,
would you bend over instead?
