Forms--how do I get rid of them?

I'm new to forms, so please excuse my ignorance.
I have created several documents with form fields (text) and now want to get
rid of the form-ness of the text. In other words, I want the text that was
entered into form fields to become unprotected, regular text. Is there any
way to do this?

After you unprotect the form, select each form field and press
Ctrl+Shift+F9 to unlink the field (turn it into plain text). This
works for text and dropdown fields, but not for checkboxes.

If the only fields in the document are form fields -- no page, date,
or other fields that you want to keep as fields -- then you can unlink
them all at once by selecting everything (Ctrl+A) and then
Ctrl+Shift+F9.
