Hi All.

I got a form containing a formfield with a displayed shadow wider than the 5
character long default. I can't figure out how it was made, all properties
seem to be of default values (max length is unlimited, etc.). I'd like to
create similar fields. How can I do that?

Thanks,
Stefi

In the field's Properties dialog, enter as many nonbreaking spaces
(Ctrl+Shift+spacebar) as you like in the Default Text box.

Thanks, Jay, I tried it and it works, but I don't see any difference between
normal sapces and nonbreaking spaces (Ctrl+Shift+spacebar). Besides the field
in question doesn't have anything in the Default Text box. What could be the
trick?

Really, the only difference occurs if the field is in the same line
with text, and placed so it becomes the last thing in the line (maybe
because of the length of text in another field in the same paragraph)
and would extend past the right margin. If you use regular spaces in
the default text, the field will stay on that line and hang out into
the right margin, which is unsightly. If you use nonbreaking spaces,
the field will wrap down to the next line.
