Formatting

Hi,

If it's not the system drive, just right click it in Windows Explorer and
choose format. With a new drive, you must first create at least one
partition/volume with the disk manager first (right click "My Computer" and
choose manage). If it's the system drive, formatting is done as part of a
clean installation. At setup, you simply delete the existing system
partition, create a new one from the free space and proceed to format and
install.

Be aware that formatting a drive also removes access to any files/folders
currently on that drive.

Simply boot from the WinXP installation CD. You'll be offered the
opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of the
installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of boot
devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)
