Formatting with bullets

Hello all,

I use the bullet button quite often during writing. But since I switched
from Word 89 to Word 2003 on XP Home I do not get the effect I used to get.
Let me clarify.

When I am writing a document I use the bullet button to make a List. But
when I press the button now, the whole document is bulletted, instead of only
the line I am currently writing. I need to press 'Undo' once or twice to get
the situation I want.

Does anyone know how I can set off this feature that bullets the whole
document, instead of only the line I am working on?

Regards,
Mac

See http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Formatting/WholeDocumentReformatted.htm.

BTW bullets are a form of list numbering (without numbers). If your
documents are heavily edited or used my multiple people you may want to take
a look at: How to create numbered headings or outline numbering in your Word
document
