Formatting/style master in Excel XP

Good afternoon,

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to set up a master
sheet (like the 'slide master' in PowerPoint) with
formatting that would carry through to all the sheets
within a workbook (ie: column fill, text formatting)?

I don't know about Powerpoint, but in Excel you can group worksheets by
Ctrl-clicking the sheet tabs. Then just about everything you do - formatting,
entering data etc, - will be reflected on all grouped sheets.

Don't forget to ungroup when you're done. See Excel Help for more help.

Another way to try is via
creating a Sheet.xlt in XLStart folder:

Prepare your master sheet

Click File > Save as
Put under "File name": Sheet
Select "Template" under "Save as type"

For "Save in", navigate to the XLStart folder:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\XLStart

Click Save
