I am creating a workbook with one summary page and several
back-up contributing worksheets. How do I create the
contributing worksheets so they formatted exactly the same
and maintain the summary worksheet's formatting?

Also, how can I lock certain areas of a workbook without
passcoding it so someone else can only enter information
where I want them to enter it?

1) If several sheets already exist in the workbook, hold down down the CTRL
key while you click the tabs at the bottom to select the sheets you want to
format simultaneously. Or, if you want to format ALL the sheets, highlight
the first tab, hold the SHIFT key, and click the last tab. That will select
all. Now, any typing or formatting done on one sheet will affect all of
them.

2) If you had created just one sheet so far, but wanted to create others,
format the original, right click its tab, and work with the Move Or Copy
dialog box, which is self-explanatory.

Format, Cells, Protection, to choose which cells to make accessible. You'll
notice that by default, cells are locked. This does not take effect until
you do one more thing: Tools, Protection, Protect Workbook. You do NOT have
to use a password - it can be left blank.
