my friend is making up a copy of an old book which is long out of print, for
a friend. she started to type it, using word 97, she got to page 50, and
then someone kindly scanned the rest for her. she is going to make this
into book format, gluing the pages together, what she is not sure how to do
is how to get the original pages she typed the same page size as the
original book, amounts of words etc, so that it runs concurrently with the
scanned document she wants to then print out her typing, and add it to the
segment of if the book that is scanned, so pages follow
on....................

..........hope this is clear!

thank you

Can your friend "select all" of the typing, copy and paste it into the scanned document? Again, "select all" and format the font and size. If she prints two sided copies she won't have to paste pages. Is this what you mean?

what she has done is not two sided printing, she printed the pages in the
landscape format, folded them, and then pasted them back to back if you
understand, so one page is the back of the other page.........if you see
what I mean. she did all this some time ago, so she hasnt got the scanned
documents saved on her pc, she printed them all off. I think what she will
have to do is just do some trial and error formatting of font and size. she
was trying to count approx how many words is the average line length, and go
from there. I just though of trying this group to see if there was a known
way of doing it!

thanks
